About us

Helwa's boutique Hotel Zanzibar embodies a fresh concept with eye-catching patterns in bright colors combined with natural shades furniture.  Helwa's is a blend of natural beauty and contemporary design. Our 9 rooms with private balconies with either garden, partial sea view or front sea view will enable our guests to indulge themselves into an ocean view beyond a sandy beach. Our restaurant & bar lounge will make discover twist of "Zanzibari" and Italian flavors by the beautiful side of the Indian ocean. Helwa's Boutique Hotel is proud of delivering a high level service and ensuring that every guest leaves with lifetime memories.

This beautifully designed Boutique Hotel features 9 rooms different from each other ofering diferent outside views , generously distributed in private tropical garden & ocean front. Ideally for honeymooners, family reunion, after safari, beach. All Rooms are built in harmony with the Zanzibar tradition,coastal vibe, Italian taste and charming design to melt perfectly with the local tropical chic environment. Free from TV & eletronic addiction or disturbance. We present nature, freedom, silence & space as our main amenity, setting the perfect mood for a romantic getaway, a retreat, a detox holiday, a nomad travelling experience, or simply the perfect home away from home allow you to discover the magic of Zanzibar.

Our Restaurant 

Dining at Helwa's Boutique Hotel & Restaurant will be an experience that will delight your palate and soul. The seafront restaurant is situated right on the beach where you will enjoy its sublime atmosphere, delicious local specialties and a genuine Italian fusion-style a la carte menu. Enjoy our special evenings or an intimate, barefoot dinner by candlelight on the beach… Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten free or Dairy free options are available.
Guests and walk-in visitors are welcome to our Restaurant & beach bar .
During Festivities or High season is suggested to reserve upon arrival.
All major credit cards are accepted.
Breakfast a la carte served from 8.00 am to 10.30 am.Lunch & Dinner a la carte served from 12.00 pm to 10.00 pm.

Helwas is an absolute paradise. The rooms are spacious, very clean and lovingly decorated. The use of natural materials (throughout the entire area) is particularly impressive.  Everything is just right here. We felt very welcome from the first second. The staff are very, very friendly and read every wish from their eyes. The restaurant conjures up excellent food. Owners of this small hotel are incredibly eager to prepare for a wonderful day. Perfect !!!! We would like to give 12 out of 10 possible points.

The French-Italian owners and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Quiet hotel on a human scale, the restaurant is excellent, right on the beach. Reception, cleanliness of the rooms, bedding, facilities really above the usual standards. I highly recommend it for a peaceful and successful vacation in the Bwejuu/Paje/Jambiani area.
